“I am a parent of a first grader at Rice elementary....and I have to say, I really love the school and the staff. I, on occasion, substitute at the school for classroom assistant...and I really love it.” This review was posted by a parent.

“Rice acedemic programs are good, although I feel Science should have a better balance of book and lab studies. I'd like to see band start in a lower grade, and a formal art class would be nice. These aformentioned problems in the music and art programs are not unique to any public school district in the US, so has no barring in comparison. I believe private supplementation in these programs are essential for overall success, and a whole lot cheaper then private education. Parent involvment is also not unique. I've been a room mother in two Lake Co. districts, starting with my eldest son, now a Social Studies teacher in Florida, ending with a 6yr old entering first grade. Overall, 50% parental involvement in the class room setting is what I've observed. Home support is the most important element in education. Any child can succeed with good support at home.” This review was posted by a parent.
